Solis UTCN is a student project based on innovation within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, started by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in collaboration with FIIRMP.

Solis UTCN is a dynamic team made up of students and professors from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, passionate about innovation and sustainable technology. We started as an initiative of students from FIE and FIIRMP , and along the way we realized that the diversity of specializations is the key to success. At Solis, the design and development of solar vehicles is at the forefront, a vehicle with which we then compete in multiple international competitions, a mission accomplished by both the enthusiastic students of UTCN and the coordinating professors. Through a lot of interdisciplinary collaboration, Solis members develop practical and teamwork skills, thus promoting a passion for engineering.
Our main purpose is to facilitate the development of students' passion for technology and innovation, through 100% sustainable vehicles. Solar energy is the basis of a cleaner environment, and the desire to progress in the field brings us peaks with each new experience.
