How it was built.

Work started in 2018, when Assoc. Prof. Ștefan Breban and Prof. Călin Neamțu brought together the first team: about ten students, led by Ervin Bálint. The vehicle was almost ready in 2020, but the race in Belgium was postponed by a year.

EV1 has a frame of aluminium profiles and a carbon-fibre body. The two motors in the rear wheels are 3 kW each, each with its own inverter. Its sponsors were Belco Avia, Bosch, Banca Transilvania, Inotec, Olson Engineering, Cadwork and Archicad.
