How it went.

With Solis EV2.

A few days after Zolder, EV2 went to Imola for the first Italian Solar Challenge. The format was different from Belgium: two four-hour stints with a two-hour break in the middle, when the vehicles charge from the sun alone.

EV2 qualified third and finished fourth, after the organisers merged the two classes into one standings table.

How the race works.

The first edition of the Italian race, on the Formula 1 circuit at Imola: two four-hour stints with a two-hour break between them for solar charging. What counts is how well you charge and how you spend your energy.
